Kirsten Avey is the Faculty Development Coordinator for the Extension School. Kirsten started at APUS over 6 years ago, starting in the Center for Teaching and Learning. She helped oversee, design, develop, monitor, and deliver training and webinars for faculty and staff and was heavily engaged in all projects of the CTL. She is now currently acting to assure completion of key projects and initiatives within the Extension School. She assists the Dean with managing multiple projects that support the school in keeping with the the vision and mission; and acts as liaison across all of the University to collaborate with many departments.
Kirsten also operates the University webinars including, but not limited to, Public Health Sciences Webinar Series, Provost Town Hall’s and Doctoral Studies. She has worked to execute a clearly defined webinar program in the manner that supports marketing and across the University. Kirsten and her husband, Guy, live outside of Martinsburg, West Virginia, with their daughter Piper and two stepdaughters.
